Sara Ahmed is a student currently attending Oakland Early College. She is currently in the Paralegal program at Oakland Community College. Her goal is to major in Political Science and Government once she transfers to a four year university, but is currently focusing her studies in that direction.

 

She has founded and is currently the President of the Debate Club and Book Club at her high school.She is currently the Vice President of Student Government. Sara is also the Vice President of her chapter’s HOSA (Health Occupations Student of America). She has completed the Medical Law and Ethics regional competition and made it as a finalist for the state competition, placing in first. She currently serves as the OEC student liaison for the West Bloomfield Board of Education.

Sara has earned the Cornerstone Award for Community at OEC, was recently awarded the Superintendents Excellent Award, and the Department Award for English. 

 

In her spare time, Sara volunteers as a camp counselor at her local mosque, works for a local politician on their campaign, and is a Student Supplementary Instructor for OEC and OCC. She is fluent in Arabic, and considers herself up to date on most current domestic and international affairs, and is excited to support the CCM and its mission.
